MERIDIAN —     Services for R.W. Stokley will be held Monday, June 17, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Carl White and Reverend T.J. Jennings officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Stokley, age 85, of Collinsville, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at his home. He was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. R.W. worked for EMEPA for approximately 20 years. He also worked with Stephens Funeral Home, Barham Funeral Home, and Robert Barham Family Funeral Home for over 40 years. He was a member of Hamasa Shriners where he served as president for two terms.

    Survivors include his wife, Cecile Stokley of Collinsville; son, Richard Stokley of Meridian; daughters, Betty Wall and husband,Lynn of Birmingham, AL, and Patricia Hogan and husband, Elton of Meridian; stepsons, Johnny Doerner and wife, Debbie of Forest, MS, and Billy Doerner and wife, Linda of Bogue Chitto, MS; stepdaughters, Cathy Shumake and husband, Jake of Enterprise, MS, and Robin Smith and husband, Haskel of Collinsville; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Calvin Stokley and wife, Margaret of Woodstock, GA; sister, Thelma Gaurin of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

    In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Pine Forest Baptist Church Building Fund.

    Pallbearers will be his extended family, the employees of Robert Barham Family Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Russ Andreacchio, Ben Ivy, Eddie Ivy, Bob Cowan, Rube Burroughs, and Bill Jones.
