James L. Chaney


    Services for Mr. James L. Chaney of Little Rock will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Beulah Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Byron Howell, Rev. Bill Webb and Rev. Gary Rivers will officiate.

    Mr. Chaney, 82, of Little Rock, died Wednesday, April 16, 2013 at his residence.

    Mr. Chaney loved God and was a lifetime member of Beulah Baptist Church, where he served as deacon. He was retired from Milwaukee Tools, spending his last 17 years as supervisor. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping and pulp wooding.

    Survivors include his wife, Shirley M. Chaney of Little Rock; daughter, Kellie Ann Fayette and husband Walter of Denmark, New York; four grandsons: Andy Thaggard, Chanss Thaggard, James Fayette and Dalton Fayette; three great grandchildren: Taylor Thaggard, Dani Lee Thaggard and C.J. Thaggard; two step daughters: Lisa Yeager and husband Greg of Little Rock, Linda James and husband Robert of Little Rock; three step sons: James Stripling of Little Rock, Robert White of Neshoba, Timothy White and wife Laura of Toomsuba; seven step grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Chaney and wife Edris of Philadelphia.

    Mr. Chaney was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Chaney and one daughter, Tanya Harrison and two sisters.

    Pallbearers: Andy Thaggard, Chanss Thaggard, Greg Yeager, James Graham, Ricky Harrison and Ben Harrison.

    Honorary Pallbearers: William Huey, Gene Lee, Elton Bryan, Gary Pinson, Roger Harrison and Gary James.

    Visitation will be held today at 6-8 p.m., at Milling Funeral Home of Union. Milling Funeral Home of Union in charge of arrangements.
