UNION —     Services for Clell “Duck” Hall will be held Friday, at 11 a.m., at First Baptist Church of Newton with Dr. Brian Rushing and Dr. David Rives officiating. Burial will be in the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery with Milling Funeral Home of Union in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Hall, 85, of Newton, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a lover of God and his fellow man. He had been a member of First Baptist Church Newton since 1953, serving as an usher and on the finance committee. He was a member of the Berean Sunday School Class. He retired from Coca Cola after 38 years of employment.  Mr. Hall served his country in World War II during the Korean Conflict. A military funeral will be held in his honor.

    Survivors include his loving and dedicated wife of 60 1/2 years, Letha Hall of Newton; two sisters: Bobbie Nell Griffin of Newton, and Bonnie Jean Long of Clinton; one brother, Don Hall of Collinsville; and, several nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Effie Hall; and, three brothers: Jack Hall, Shellie Hall and Joe Hall.

    In lieu of flowers family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Newton, 307 E. Church Street Newton, MS 39345, or Friends of MS Veterans, P.O. Box 1265 Meridian, MS 39302.

    Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
