MERIDIAN —     Services for Ted G. Rigdon will be held Friday, Mar. 14, 2014, at 2:30 p.m., at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne French, Rev. Chuck Overby and Rev. Chris Cooksey officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Nebo Cemetery.

    Mr. Rigdon, 83, of Meridian died Tuesday, Mar. 11, 2014, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. Mr. Rigdon was a member of Abundant Life Tabernacle. He was retired from General Box as the maintenance supervisor after forty-two years of service. He was a member of St. Johns Blue Masonic Lodge and was a veteran of the Korean War.

    Survivors include: his wife of sixty-three years, Ruthie Rigdon of Meridian; daughter, Glynese Thomas and husband Tony of Lauderdale; son, Dan Rigdon and wife Judy of Odenville, Ala.; grandchildren: Thomas Taylor, Amanda Cooksey, Danielle Winningham, and Daniel Rigdon; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Norma Johnson and husband Ray, and Wyvette Overby, both of Meridian; sister-in-law, Hazel Little and husband Les of Meridian; brother-in-law, Bobby Graham and wife Kristy of Lauderdale; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Clara Rigdon, and seven brothers and sisters.
