Thomas N. (Butch) Wright

MERIDIAN —      Services for Thomas N. (Butch) Wright will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel in Meridian, with Brother Eddie Edwards officiating.

    Mr. Wright, 70, of Meridian passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.

    He was born September 28, 1943, in Flint, Mich. He graduated from Bloomfield High School in Bloomfield, Ind. in 1961 and was a member of the Regional Basketball Championship team in 1961. Formerly of Mooresville, Ind., he retired from Consolidated Freightways with 28 years of service in 2001.

    Mr. Wright attended Hawkins Memorial United Methodist Church in Meridian. He was a member of Teamster Union Local 135, Plainfield Masonic Lodge #653, Fraternal Order of Eagles #3207, and Meridian Moose Lodge Chapter 1628.

    Survivors include his loving wife, Gail Wright; daughter, Natalie Cunningham, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; son, Thomas R. Wright of Mooresville, Ind.; grandchildren, Justin Rupp (Taylor) of Chattanooga, Tenn., Thomas C. Wright of Mooresville, Ind., Tora Cunningham of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Shailynn, Colton, Caine, and Preston; brothers, Bill Wright of Traverse City, Mich., and John L. Wright (Carolyn) of Columbus, Ind.

    He was preceded in death by parents John and Ruth Wright.

    Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
