George R. Marshall

MERIDIAN —  A memorial service will be held in Apalachicola, Fla. at a later date for George R. Marshall.

            Mr. Marshall, age 87, a native of Apalachicola, Fla. and resident of the Martin Community, passed away August 26, 2013, at the Veteran’s Home in Kosciusko.

            He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Laura Johnson Marshall; son, George R. (Beth) Marshall, III of Mobile, Ala.; sister, Margaret (Maurice) Moskowitz of Mobile, Ala.; sisters in law, Ruth Johnson Ethridge and Jeannie Thead; brothers in law, Jack Ethridge and David Thead; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

            The family would like to give special thanks to the Staff of Footprints Day Care in Newton, the V.A. Home in Kosciusko, and Covenant Hospice in Philadelphia for their loving care during his illness.
