Doris Jean Moore Boykin

MERIDIAN —

    Services for Doris Jean Moore Boykin will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. David Bolware and the Rev. Grady Crowell officiating.  Interment will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.  Wright’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Mrs. Boykin, 72, died Saturday at H. C. Watkins Hospital in Quitman.

    Mrs. Boykin is survived by her daughter, Diane Baker and husband Billy Joe; her sons, Mike Boykin and wife Liz; Phillip Boykin and wife Tara; daughter-in-law, Sandra Boykin; brother, Robert Moore and wife Sue; sisters Thelma Bolware and Ella Bolware; sister-in-law, and best friend, Sybil Smith; grandchildren, Billy Wayne Baker and wife Sherry; Jammie Baker and wife Shirley, Amy Smith and husband Marcus, Jennifer Pugh and husband Scottie; Amanda Dixon and husband Brian; Brad Boykin and wife Emily; Cecil Boykin, Alyssa Boykin, Erika Boykin, Dylan Boykin, Cody Boykin, Dora Keith, Alexis Todd, Dalton Baker and Austin Baker;  great-grandchildren, Kolby Baker, Dekota Baker, Kaden Baker, Cole Baker, Robin Smith, Emma Smith, Amber Smith, Kayla Smith, Ethan Dixon, Katie Dixon, Elijah Boykin, Jonah Boykin, Blaze Keith, and David Keith.

    She was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Elizabeth Platt Moore; her husband, R. V. “Bob” Boykin; son, Randy Jr. Boykin; sister Margaret Carney Ivy; brothers, Lawrence Moore, Kenneth Moore, and Ray Moore.

    Visitation will be 5 – 9 p.m. tonight at Wright’s Funeral Home in Quitman and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
