MERIDIAN — Ann Green Whitlock

 

    Services for Ann Green Whitlock will be held today, Saturday, at 11 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Raymon Leake officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

    Mrs. Whitlock, age 66, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at her residence.

     Visitation will be held today, Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.

 

Helen Mertis Welsh

 

    DeKalb - Services for Helen Mertis Welsh will be held today, Saturday, at 1 p.m. at the St. Mark Methodist Church in DeKalb. Pastor Ever Burt will be officiating, with New Haven Memorial Funeral Home in charge of the final arrangements. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

    Mrs. Welsh died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013 at the University Medical Center in Jackson.

    Visitation will be one hour prior services at St. Mark Methodist Church.

 

Betty Jeanne Rich

 

    NEWTON - Services for  Betty Jeanne Rich will be held today, Saturday, at 2 p.m. at Hopewell United Methodist Church at Rose Hill with Pastor Kathy Price,  Bro. Wayne Taylor, and Bro. Tony Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Rich, 74 of Rose Hill, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 at Anderson Regional Medical Center, North Campus. She was a dedicated and active member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and tending to her flowers. She loved her dogs. She loved people in general and especially her church family. She will be missed.

    Survivors Include her husband, Perry S. Rich of Rose Hill; two sons, Chris Weidman and his wife Rebecca of Douglasville, Ga. and Kevin Weidman of Rose Hill; one granddaughter, Rebecca "Becky" Weidman of Douglasville, Ga.; one sister, Geri Meehan of Syosset, N.Y.; four step children: Lamar Rich of Enterprise; Roger Rich of Enterprise, Teresa Elrod of Fayetteville, Tenn., and Wendy Mizelle of Theodore, Ala.; and 11 step grandchildren

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Graham Marrs and Grace Belle McCormick Marrs

    Pallbearers will be David Chamblee, Mark Strait, Jackie Bolton, Randy Loper, Jerry Lewis, and Dennis Chatham.  

    In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation to Hopewell United Methodist Church.

    Visitation will be held today, Saturday, from 1 p.m. until service time at Hopewell United Methodist Church.

Martha J. Bell

 

    Services for Martha J. Bell will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church with Rev. Doby Henry officiating. Burial will be in the Bogue Chitto Community Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

    Visitation began at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 at 13550 Hwy 491 North.

Etna Jean Gray

 

    NEWTON - Services for Etna Jean Gray will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church at Hickory. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Newton County Funeral Home South is in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Gray, 80, of Decatur, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson.

    Visitation will be today, Saturday, from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

 

Carolyn E. Aust

 

    Graveside services for Carolyn E. Aust will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Rev. Jerry Read will be officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Aust, 87, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, Oct. 31. She was a long time teacher of dance and baton, and also a Meridian Star carrier for several years.

    Visitation will be at Barham Funeral Home one hour prior to service.

 

Edmund Lynn Kossey

 

    NEWTON - Memorial services for Edmund Lynn Kossey will be held at a later date.

    Mr.Kossey, 70 of Newton, died Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 at Pioneer Community Hospital.

    Newton County Funeral Home of Newton is in charge of arrangements.

Johnnie Pringle

 

    Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Johnnie Pringle, 75, of Meridian, who died Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 at his residence.
