MERIDIAN —     Services for Joseph Brown will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Webb Chapel with Rev. Alan Singletary officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

    Mr. Brown, 80, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013 at his home. Mr. Brown was retired from the 186th Air National Guard as a Senior Master Sergeant, and from Civil Service at NAS Meridian. He served aboard an aircraft carrier during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Navy. Mr. Brown was a member of Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendant. He was also a member of the Meridian Area Coin Club.

    He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; daughters, Suzanne (Tony), Teresa, and Becky; son, Joey (Rebecca); sisters, Carolyn Holloway (Stewart), Ann Weatherford (Don); brother, Jimmy Brown (Jean); grandchildren: Denver, Samantha, Gina, Justin, Janell, Mia, Cole, Henry, and Evan; great grandchildren, Kinsley and Isaiah.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Ruby Brown; daughter, Angela Marie; son, Joseph Edward; grandchildren, Johnny and Bradley McKenzie; sister, Lee; and brother, Warren.

    Pallbearers will be Mickey Sessions, Lynn Latham, Alan Flint, Adam McCree, John McClure, and Sammy Pogue.

    Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
