John Wesley Morgan

MERIDIAN —     Services for John Wesley Morgan will be held on Thursday, at 11 a.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church with Father Joe Dyer and Rev. Dewayne Robinson officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Michaels Catholic Church Cemetery. Wrights Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Morgan, 73, of Paulding, passed away on September 30, 2013 at his residence.

    He was born on April 25, 1940 to James and Katie (Edwards) Morgan in Jasper County.

    Survivors include his son, John (Angie) Morgan; grandchildren, KayAnna Morgan and John-Michael Morgan; brothers, William Lee Morgan, Matthew Morgan and Rudolph Morgan; sisters, Katherine Williams and Jewel Lewis.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Ann Morgan; parents, James and Katie Morgan; and brothers, Sonny Morgan, Jaybird Morgan, and Billy Morgan.

    Pallbearers will be Rudolph Morgan, Matthew Morgan, John Keenan, Jimmy Keenan, Bubba Shumock and Mark Shumock.

    Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, after 5 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home, and on Thursday, thirty minutes prior to the service at the church.
