Geraldine L. Wilson

MERIDIAN —     DEKALB - Services for Geraldine L. “Gerry” Wilson will be held Thursday, at 10 a.m., at Union Hill Church, DeKalb, with Rev. Walt Tessier officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home of DeKalb in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Wilson, 75, of DeKalb, went to her eternal home on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.

    Survivors include four daughters: Beth Johnson and husband Wayne of DeKalb, Becky Thomas and husband Terry of Scooba, Vicki Cheatham and husband Greg of Preston, and Alice Faye Kingery and husband Tommy of Scooba; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret Condon of Flint, Mich.; a brother, Norman White of Flint, Mich.; and, numerous nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert “Popeye” Wilson; a sister, Helen Homes; and her parents, Raymond and Louise White.

    Pallbearers will be Wayne Johnson, Terry Thomas, Greg Cheatham, Tommy Kingery, T. J. Kingery, Mike Creekmore and Jason Kinard.

    Honorary bearers are Randal Anderson and Dr. Joel Callahan.  
    Visitation will be today, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home in DeKalb.
