David Edward Smith

MERIDIAN — UNION – Services for David Edward Smith will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Phil Smith officiating. Burial will be in Golden Grove Cemetery.

     Mr. Smith, 44, of Newton, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Pioneer Community Hospital.

     Survivors are his mother, Judy Sharp Smith of Brandon; son, Ethan David Smith of Newton; two daughters, Skylar Lachelle Smith and Makenzie Elaine Smith, both of Union; a grandson, Braydenn Cade Maxey of Union; his fiancee, Vickie Smith of Newton; six sisters, Stacey McNeil and her husband, Daniel, of Union, Melissa Finley of Hickory, Vicky Smith of San Antonio, Texas, Shayla Smith of Chunky, Glenda Johnson of Decatur and Darla Boren of Pollock, La.; one brother, Kevin “Scooter” Smith of Chunky; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his fathers, Paul Smith and Herman Lavan Smith; two brothers, Paul David Smith Jr. and Marcus Smith; and grandparents, Therman and Etoile Sharp.

     Pallbearers are Daniel McNeil, Brandon Johnson, Dusty Hicks, Wesley Finley, David Crocker, “Little” Robert Roncali, Dakota Roncali and Bill Mills.

     Visitation will be today, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
