Daniel E. Brewer Jr.

MERIDIAN —

    JACKSON – Services for Daniel E. (Bobby) Brewer Jr. will be held Wednesday, at 2 p.m., at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Burial will be in Parkway Memorial Cemetery with Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home of Jackson in charge of arrangements.       

    Mr. Brewer, 66, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, in New Orleans, La. Bobby attended Meridian Public Schools, MS School for the Deaf, and Meridian Community College. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a leader and player of the Southwest Athletic Association of the Deaf, and a leader and player for Jackson Association for the Deaf since 1969.

    Survivors include his son, Danny Brewer of Ocean Springs; sisters: Sherry Bennett (Greg) of Collinsville, and Peggy Baldwin of Meridian; grandchildren: Ben and Jaci Brewer, both of Ocean Springs; niece, Kristin Griffin (Cody) of Hattiesburg; and, nephews: Jeff Jackson, Jason Baldwin, and Ryan Bennett, all of Meridian.

    In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Woodland Hills Baptist Church, Deaf Ministry, 3327 Old Canton Rd, Jackson, MS  39216.

    Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
