Jewel Vetrice Keller O’Gwynn

MERIDIAN —     Graveside services for Jewel Vetrice Keller O'Gwynn will be held Saturday, at 1:30 p.m. at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.

    Mrs. O'Gwynn was born April 19, 1919, and died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, in Naveau, Ala. She lovingly made her home for many years in Meridian. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church and retired from Western Auto and Peavy Electronics.

    Survivors include her daughters: Sharon Hicks of Alabama, and Sylvia Tidmore of Meridian; grandchildren: Jay (Diona) Tidmore  of Tennessee, Melinda T (Bob) Adkins of Meridian, Debby T (John) Crumpton  of Raleigh, Bruce Barker of  Lafayette Ind., and Brad (Alyson) Spinks and Doug (Anita) Spinks of Savannah, Ga.; great-grandchildren: Lori T (Wesley) Spears, Trey Tidmore, and Edgar Zach Adkins of Germany, Chase Tidmore, Hayden Adkins, Cooper, Mason and Claire Crumpton, Katherine and Rachel Spinks, and Olivia Spinks; and, great-great-grandchildren: Nathan and Hayden Spears, and James Tidmore IV. She also leaves behind surviving sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, many friends, and her beloved dog Chico.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; parents, Robert and Allie May Keller; eldest daughter, Gayle; sister, Margaret Keller Woods; and, brothers: Sam, Robert, Harold, and Everett Keller.

    Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Jay, Bruce, Brad and Doug.

    Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons: Trey, Chase and Hayden.

    Family and friends are invited to attend the graveside memorial service.
