Eugenia Mae Cook Smith


    QUITMAN – Services for Eugenia Mae Cook Smith will be held today, at 3 p.m., at Wright’s Funeral Home Chapel. Wright’s Funeral Home of Quitman is in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Smith, loving mother, grandmother and sister was born on Sept. 2, 1933 in Mississippi. Eugenia went through Heaven’s Gates on Thursday, April 4, 2013

    Survivors include her son, W. Eugene Smith and his friend Sheila Noran; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Tammy Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Randy Messer; grandchildren: Ashley Messer, Bryan Smith, and Kelly Smith and her partner Shaun Barry; brother and sister-in-law, A. J. and Gladys Cook Jr.; brother-in-law and his wife, Wylie and Ramona Smith; devoted friend and cousin, J. C. Smith; and, several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James Wilton Smith; and her parents, Andrew J. Cook Sr. and Cecelia Hunter Cook Walker.

    The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all those who have been there and supported us during this time of loss.

    Visitation will be today, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the funeral home.
