Robert Lee Collins Sr.


    Memorial services for Robert Lee "Bob" Collins Sr. will be held Thursday, at 11 a.m., at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rev. Mark Giles and Rev. David Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 

    Mr. Collins, 78, of Enterprise, died Monday, March 11, 2013. He was a native of Winona, and graduated from Winona High School in 1952, enrolling in the U.S. Air Force, discharging in 1953. He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1958 with an associate’s of science degree in gas fuel technology and began a 40-year career with Mississippi Valley Gas Company, retiring in 1998.

    Survivors include his son, Robert Lee “Bob” Collins Jr. and wife Jane Lee Collins of Long Beach; daughter, Leigh Ann Chandler and husband Dewayne of Enterprise; and, four grandchildren: Collin Chandler, Susanna Collins, Chase Chandler and Joanna Collins.

    He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Mildred Ann “Micki” Stribling Collins, who died Nov. 20, 2012.

    Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
