Ernest R. Couch Jr.

PEARL —     Services for Ernest R. “Junior” Couch Jr. will be held Wednesday, at 11 a.m., at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Gardens, Brandon with Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home of Pearl in charge of arrangements. 

    Mr. Couch, 64, passed from this life on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at University Medical Center, Jackson.

    His headstone reads a Common Man, yet he was anything but!

     J.R. was a self educated, very accomplished entrepreneur who was successful at many trades throughout his life time. His career culminated with a very successful tree removal and land clearing business, Couch Tree Service/C & S Land Service LLC. He was well respected in the community and touched many lives throughout his life and career as a Mason, a member of the local Street Rod Club, and a successful business man. He was an avid car enthusiast and loved to travel and camp as much as possible.

    Survivors include his fiancée, Carol Couch; children: Damon Couch (Tonya), Bonita Jaynes (Ryan) and Parker “Boy” Couch; sister, Ruthie Null (George); and grandson, Donovan Couch.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary D. “Pete” Couch; parents: Ernest R. Couch Sr. and Lucille Dearman Couch; brother, Richard R. Couch; sisters: Mary Couch Allen, Peggy Hitchcock and Dottie Stoddard; and nephew, Darren G. Couch.

    Visitation will be today, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
