Bruce Alexander

MERIDIAN —     Services for Mr. Bruce Alexander will be held 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union with burial in the Enterprise Cemetery. Rev. Jackie Strebeck will officiate.

    Mr. Alexander, 55, of Duffee, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.

    Mr. Alexander was retired from ANG 186 Air-Refueling Unit. He also worked as a poultry and cattle farmer. He was a summer league softball coach for Beulah Hubbard.

    Survivors include: Wife: Sandra Alexander of Duffee; 3 daughters: Shanna Lyons and husband Travis of Bristol, Tenn., Summer Alexander of Duffee, and Shea Alexander of Duffee; Mother: Maxinee Alexander of Duffee; 2 grandchildren: Mason and Stella Anthony of Bristol, Tenn;  3 brothers: Michael Alexander and wife Amy of Duffee, Marty Alexander and wife Dawn of Duffee, and Byron Alexander of Duffee; Mother-in-law: Edna Lee Helms.

    Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his father: Dale Alexander.

    Pallbearers: Joey Dean, Chris Butler, David Alexander, Joe Alexander, Jeff Alexander and Greg Luke.

    Visitation will be held 5-8 pm, Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013. Milling Funeral Home of Union in charge of arrangements.
