James Terrel “JT” Rawson


    Services for James Terrel “JT” Rawson will be held today at 2 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Lou Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Montrose Baptist Church Cemetery, Clarke County.

    Mr. Rawson, 69 of Quitman left this earth to be with his heavenly Father on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at his residence.

    He was born on February 6, 1943 and will be remembered as a loving husband to Beverly Moore Rawson, a loving father and Popper “JT” to his family.

    Survivors include his wife Beverly Moore Rawson of Quitman; sons, Todd Rawson and his wife Shannon of Olive Branch, Miss., Shane Rawson and his wife Kerri of St. Louis, Mo.; step-son, Rob Riley and his wife Lisa of Quitman; step-daughter, Marlena Robinson and her husband Andy of Quitman; grandchildren, Kyle, Zachary, Braden and baby Ellis Rawson, Rebecca and Jacob Riley, Zachary and Mary Kate Smith; brother, Curtis Rawson of Meridian; many nieces, nephews and friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Nellie Rawson; son, Charles Lamar Rawson; three sisters and five brothers

    The family requests memorials be made to Living Word Church.

    Visitation will be held Monday, 12:30-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
