Richard Lee McLemore

MERIDIAN —     Services for Richard Lee “R.L.” McLemore will be held today, at 2 p.m., at Union Baptist Church in Clarke County with Bro. John Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

    Mr. McLemore, 89, of Quitman, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, in Louisiana. He was a farmer and enjoyed selling his produce at the Meridian Farmers Market.

    Survivors include his nephew, Glover “Mac” McElroy and his wife Susie of St. Rose, La.; great-nieces: Gay Rogers and husband Ronnie, Lana Jefcoat and husband Jason, and Sara Rodriguez and husband Andy; great-great-nephews: Todd Rogers, Linkin Rodriguez and Luke Rodriguez; and, great-great-nieces: Abbie and McKenzie Rodriguez.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Amos and Lucy Bell McLemore; sisters: Joyce McLemore and Ruth Smith; and niece, Gail Todd.

    Pallbearers will be Andy Rodriguez, Cliff Gavin, Chris Gavin, David Thibodeaux, Jason Jefcoat, and Wesley Lewis.

    Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
