Johnnie Howard Stinson

MERIDIAN —     Memorial  services for Johnnie Howard Stinson will be held Monday at noon in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Carl White officiating.

      Mr. Stinson, 84, of Meridian, died Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at The Oaks. He was a retired US Navy veteran and civil service employee for Naval Air Station Meridian. Mr. Stinson was a longtime member of Highland Baptist Church.

    Survivors include his wife, Ellen Parnell Stinson of Meridian; a son Howard Parnell Stinson and his wife, Pat, of Meridian; a grandson, Joel H. Stinson and his wife, Sarah, of Birmingham, Ala.; a granddaughter, K. Claire Stinson and her fiancé, Derek Taylor of New Albany; a sister, Virginia Baskett of Meridian; nephew,

Robert Basket of Meridian and niece, Susan Wright and her husband, Dan, of Meridian.  

    Memorials may be made to Highland Baptist Church Building Fund.

    Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
