Graveside services for William “Bill” Daniels will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Garden. Chaplain Tom Bentley will officiate, with Barham Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Daniels, 83, of Bailey, passed away July 29, 2013, at Kosciusko Veterans Hospital.
Mr. Daniels served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a hardworking man in the steel industry, having worked at Magnolia Steel for 15 years. In 1976, he and his wife, Dorothy, opened Dot and Bills Minimart in Bailey. Bill was an outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, and tending to his cows.
Mr. Daniels is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy; his son, Gregory Daniels; grandsons Robert Izzett, Andy Daniels, and William G. Daniels; a granddaughter, Gracie Daniels.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Darlene Daniels, and his parents, James and Zula Mae Daniels.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
