Mary H. Smith

MERIDIAN —     Services for Mary H. Smith will be held Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at 2 p.m., at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Espey and Doug Benson officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in House, Miss.

    Mrs. Smith, 76, of Pearl, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was retired from South Central Bell and was a member of the Bell South Pioneers. Mary was also a member of the Rankin County Master Gardeners. She was a native of Satsuma, Ala.

    Survivors include her son, Mark Smith of Holt, Florida; daughters, Suzanne Benson (Doug) of Neshoba County and Colleen Smith of Jackson; grandchildren: David Smith, Eric Smith (Elesha), Jason Smith (Debbie), Tim Smith, Rachelle Fenton, John Mark Benson (Bethany), Laura Huff(Jeremy), Samuel Benson, Shum Benson, Curtis Benson, Spencer Benson, and Amy Elizabeth Meeks Smith; nine great grandchildren; best friend, Shirley Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Smith; parents, Emma and David W. Horton; two brothers and five sisters.

    Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Brown and Jeremy Huff.

    Visitation will be held today, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
