MERIDIAN — Former Co-owner of Daniels Roofing Company

    Services for Cluis C. Daniels will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Earl Wheatley and Pastor Jeff Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Hamrick Cemetery in Collinsville.

    Mr. Daniels, 84, of Collinsville, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Northpark Church and Collinsville First Church of God where he was very active and served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for many years. He was a Sunday school teacher, choir member, song leader, served on the building committee and numerous other committees. Mr. Daniels served on the Board of Trustees for Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma City, Okla. for over twenty years and also financially supported the construction of a church in Honduras.

    Mr. Daniels was the first Fire Chief of Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department. He also served as President of the Collinsville Community Development Club and was awarded Lauderdale County Man of the Year.

    Survivors include his children, Katrina Craven and husband Jerry of Collinsville, Paul Daniels and wife Phyllis of Fishers, Ind., Lee Daniels of Athens, Ala., Kristel Kendall and husband Brad of Collinsville; grandchildren, Karie Woodall and husband Brad of Bailey, Courtney Blacklidge and husband Brittany of Gulfport, Ericka Daniels of Indianapolis, Paul Daniels and wife Janelle of Noblesville, Ind., James Daniels and wife Rainey of Madison, William Daniels and wife Kathleen of Charleston, S.C., Elliott Daniels of Harvest, Ala., Ley Kendall and wife Hannah of Pryor, Okla., Bryan Kendall of College Station, Texas, and Collin Kendall of Warrensburg, Mo.; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Pebble Davis and husband Jim of Laurel and a brother, LaVern Daniels and wife Sara Linda of Cleveland, and numerous nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-three years, Mary Eugenia Broun Daniels; parents, Nathan and Ela Faye Carpenter Daniels; and brothers, Everett and Thaddeus Ray Daniels.

    Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
