QUITMAN - Services for Robert L. Cranford will be held today, at 10 a.m., at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Bo Bankston and Rev. Dennis Coats officiating. Burial will be in Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Cranford, 81, of Quitman, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Rush Foundation Hospital of Meridian. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Cranford; sons: Gary Cranford and Tenon Cranford; daughter, Jerri Kaye Parker; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Ernest Cranford; and, sisters: Voncile Bufkin and Margaret Ivey.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, James Derek Parker; and his parents, James Tenon and Nora Prittchet Cranford.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Cranford, Jonathan Cranford, Chas Cranford, Jason Ray Cranford, Billy Weems, Ronald Satcher and David McDonald.
Honorary pallbearers are Calvin Sanders, Hal Singley and Jimmy Thomas.
