Anna M. Battle

MERIDIAN —     Services for Anna M. Battle will be held today at 2 p.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Tolbert officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery with John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services in charge of arrangements.

    Ms. Battle, 61, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013 at Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was a homemaker. Her hobbies were music, watching movies and riding the golf cart. She was a member of Hickory United Methodist Church.

    She is survived by her daughters: Laurie Price of Philadelphia, Miss., and Jennie (Brook) Bobo of Carthage; mother, Olive Meaders of Hickory; mother-in-law, Jean Battle of Philadelphia; sisters, Jean Brown of Chunky and Emily Craven of Collinsville; grandchildren: Blake Howell, Hayley Smith, Sydney Battle, Axl Battle and Little Will Bobo.

    Ms. Battle was preceded in death by her father, John H. Meaders Jr.; husband, Ronnie Battle (Oct. 4, 2013); son, Kevin Battle; brothers: Butch Meaders Sr., Greg Meaders, and Michael Meaders; sister, Babette Meaders.

    Pallbearers are: Bill Howell, Brent Brown, David Boswell, Michael Vowell, Christopher Meaders, and Scottie Smith.
