James Fred Snowden


A private family service will be held for James Fred Snowden, with Dr. Jason Bird officiating. 
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Snowden, 94, of Meridian, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church and was former co-owner of O.L. Snowden and Sons Construction Company.
Survivors include his daughters, Judy Snowden Dement and husband, Johnny and Becky Snowden Wright and husband, Charles all of Meridian; five grandchildren: Scott Dement, Corey Dement Weed, Snowden Wright, Taff Wright, and Parker Wright; three great-grandchildren: Avery, Campbell, and Maddie; and a very dear friend and companion, Doris B. Martin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Snowden; parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Snowden; brother, Charles Snowden; and sister, Ruth Blankenship.
The family requests memorials be made to Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers will be: Scott Dement, Snowden Wright, Parker Wright, Scott Weed, Bruce Martin, Ronny Hampton, and Harry Mayer.
