William E. Chaple III

MERIDIAN —     Services for William E. Chaple III will be held at a later date in Birmingham, Ala. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Chaple, 63, of Meridian, died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Chaple was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

    Survivors include his children, Joe Aven of Gulf Shores, Ala., Rick Aven (Chris) of Los Angeles, Calif, Kellye Bowens (John) of Helena, Ala., Adam Aven (Leslie) of Birmingham, Pete Chaple (Mitsi) of Beaufort, S.C., Andy Chaple (Ann) of Palm Bay, Fla., and Matthew Chaple (Kelly) of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; his parents, Earl and Betty Chaple of Hoover, Ala.; and sisters Jan and Karen.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Chaple.
