Judie Bounds Rutledge

MERIDIAN —

    Services for Judie Bounds Rutledge will be held Friday, at 1 p.m., at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Cooper and Rev. Paul Queen officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Rutledge, 54, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, and she was a former receptionist with Bill Etheridge Lincoln/Mercury. Judie loved her grandchildren, taking them camping, sewing, and cooking for her family. Judie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and fought hard until the very end, using her time with her grandchildren as great motivation.

    Survivors include her husband, Tim Rutledge; daughter, Amber Carson and husband Cade; sons: Whitney Bounds and wife Scottie, and Kyle Rutledge and wife Jodi; grandchildren: Cale Carson, Cane Carson, Briley Carson, and T.K. Rutledge; eight brothers and sisters; and, numerous nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Karl Bounds; and a brother.

    Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
