Services for Annie Ruth “Sis” Wilkins will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. John Temple officiating. Burial will be in Rawson Tinnin Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Wilkins, 83, of Meridian died Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Bedford Care Center. She was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wilkins was a woman of strong Christian faith, with a large giving heart. She was a hairdresser and after retirement she worked as a sitter for the elderly. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
Survivors include her son, Larry Dean and his wife Myrna of Meridian; daughter, Rita Ann Null of Meridian; grandchildren: Memori Dean Spence and husband Brian of Seacrest Beach, Fla., Todd Dean of Conyers, Ga., David Null and wife Beth of Meridian, Davida Hopkins and husband Wayne of Meridian, Jason Null and wife Julie of Meridian, Raymond Mitchell, Jr. and wife Donna of Meridian and Scott Mitchell of Meridian; brother, Jimmy J. Rawson, and wife, Glenda of Meridian and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward P. “Pappy” Wilkins; daughter, Billie Jo Mitchell; grandson, Walter Brian Mitchell; parents, James R. and Mae Rawson; brother, Infant James Rawson, brother, H. L. Rawson, sister, Allie Mae Navaille, brother, Bill O. Rawson, sister, Nancy Coleman, brother, Bob Rawson, and twin brother, James Rufus Rawson.
The family requests memorials be made to Leslie Webb Scholarship Fund at Northeast High School, Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
Pallbearers will be Todd Dean, Raymond Mitchell, Jr., David Null, Scott Mitchell, Jason Null, Wayne Hopkins and Brian Spence.
