Millie Young Burrage

PHILADELPHIA —

    Services for Millie Young Burrage will be held Thursday, at 2 p.m., at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home, with Dr. John Temple, Rev. James Ruffin and Rev. Chris Vowell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Robert Barham Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Burrage, 86, of Meridian, died Monday, April 1, 2013, at Regency Hospital following an extended illness. She was born on Dec. 10, 1926, in Liberty, S.C. to Thomas Wesley and Ora Kelly Young and lived there until moving to Meridian in 1960, where she lived until her death.

     Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Jennings Wyatt Burrage, whom she married on Oct. 20, 1945, in Greenville, S.C.; children: Judi Shirley (Barry) of Columbia, S.C., Thomas R. Burrage of Hendersonville, N.C., and Amy Warren (Paul) of Madison; and, grandchildren: Scott Simmons, Darren Simmons, Sara Burrage, Matthew Warren and Zachary Warren.

    The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the nurses at Regency Hospital for their special care.

    Memorials may be made to Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church where Mrs. Burrage has been a member since 1960.

     Visitation will be today, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
