DEKALB —     Graveside services for Mae Lucille Peden will be held today at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Revs. Steve Lampkin and Chris Gully officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Peden, 80 of DeKalb, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at her home.  She was a native of Winston County and a homemaker.  

    Survivors include her daughter Darlene Steede of DeKalb; grandson, Michael Kilpatrick and his wife, Stephanie, of Brookhaven; great-grandsons, Trace Brady, Addison Brady and Walker Brady, all of Brookhaven; sister, Marlyn (Stennis) Newell of DeKalb; aunt, Brownie Peden of DeKalb; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Ray Peden; parents,

John and Willie Gregory; and sisters, Mamie Lee Burkes, Mary E. Floore and Myrtle Persons.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Lynville Methodist Church Memorial Fund.  

    Pallbearers serving are Greg King, Ben VanDevender, Greg Newell, Ray Davis, Freddie Gully and Albert Gully.
