Lois Davis McKenzie

MERIDIAN —     Services for Lois Davis McKenzie will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Lamar Lifer officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.

    Mrs. McKenzie, 85, of Meridian, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the church choir. Mrs. McKenzie enjoyed traveling, painting and working with ceramics.

    Survivors include her son, Lamar McKenzie and his wife, Cindy, of Meridian, and daughter, Martha McKenzie Savell of Pearl; grandchildren, Ashley Wingo Hodge and her husband, Brian, of Petel, Megan McKenzie Smith and her husband, Curt, of Hebron, Md., Michael Lamar McKenzie and his wife, Jessica, of Meridian, and Crystal Bunyard of Meridian; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Ernestine Stull of Gulfport; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Clouis Lamar McKenzie Sr.; and son-in-law, Wayne Savell.

    Visitation will be held one hour before services at the funeral home.
