Bobbie Malene Townsend

QUITMAN —     Services for Bobbie Malene Townsend will be held Monday, at 10 a.m., at Pachuta Baptist Church, where Mrs. Townsend was a member, with Rev. Ricky Carlisle officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Meridian, with Wright’s Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

    Mrs. Townsend, 91, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Wisteria Manor Personal Care Home.

    Survivors include her daughters: Bobbie Townsend Martin (Ray) of Byram, and Briggette Jeanette Singley (Hal) of Pachuta; sister, Jackie Woodard of Meridian; 10 grandchildren; and, 16 great-grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Joel and Jenny Gray; husband, Moody Melton; son, Elmer Dallas (Shorty) Townsend; and, brothers: Rayford, Ed, R.D., and Henry Gray.

    Pallbearers will be Stacy Green, Bill Gray, Bobby Gray, Billy Hollingsworth, Mark Kidd, and Randy Kidd.

    Visitation will be Sunday, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
