MERIDIAN —     MERIDIAN – Services for Margie Morton Stephens will be held Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at 2 pm in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Meridian. Burial will be at Meridian Memorial Park.  Bro. David Watson and Bro. Carl Stephens will officiate.

     Mrs. Stephens, 77, passed away Dec. 19, at Specialty Hospital in Meridian.

    Mrs. Stephens was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 45 years, a member of the United Methodist Women, and was the secretary for the Hamasa Shriners for 35 years.  She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and devoted her life to her family and her Savior.  She loved life and people and saw the positive in others, always offering a kind word.

    She will be greatly missed by her husband of 56 years, Ed Stephens; her sons, Steve Stephens (Lynn) and Mark Stephens (Teresa); daughter, Beth Stephens Brown (Philip); grandchildren, Cory Stephens (Krissy), Ryan Stephens (Kathy), Colton Stephens, and Landon Stephens; great-grandchildren, Brayden Stephens and Emma Stephens.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Winifred and Eula Mae Morton; her brothers, Sunny Morton and Albert Morton; her brother-in-law Jerome Stephens; and her in-laws, Burton and Tressie Stephens.

    Pallbearers will be Corky East, John Harwell, Clayton Cobler, Cory Stephens, Ryan Stephens and Philip Brown.

    Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
