Edna Sims Gandy

PICAYUNE —     Memorial Services for Edna Sims Gandy will be held Sunday, at 3 p.m., at New Fellowship Church in Hickory with Bro. Phillip Gandy officiating. Picayune Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Mrs. Gandy, 100, of Kiln, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013. She was a homemaker and a member of Enterprise Baptist Church.

    Survivors include her son, John L. Gandy of Enterprise; sisters: Tressie Courtney of Bassfield, and Elizabeth Hollingsworth of Newton; grandchildren: John Gandy, Diana Bently and Jennifer Harvey; and, great-grandchildren: Anna Bently, Preston Harvey and Maggie Bently.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ella Forman Sims; husband, John W. Gandy; and grandson, Charles Gandy.

    In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Gideon’s International.
