Services for Margie Dee Carpenter will be held today at 11 a.m. at Stephens
Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tim Buchanan, James Williams and Hal Bates officiating. Burial will be in Hamrick Cemetery.
Mrs. Carpenter, 92, of Collinsville, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, in her home.
She was a member of Collinsville Church of God and a pillar of the Collinsville Community for more than 50 years. Originally from Philadelphia, she was active her entire life in church, giving her time through teaching Sunday School, and serving on numerous church committees and boards. She loved her family, and always placed their happiness and well-being above her own. She influenced many through her Christian devotion as a wife, mother, grandmother, family member, neighbor and friend.
Survivors include her daughters, Ellen Walker and her husband, Clyde, Glenda Reid and her husband,Vern, and Dianne Agnew and her husband, John; her sister, Ruth Burks; a brother, Denson Breazeale; a brother-in-law, Arnold Carpenter and several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Randy Walker and Joanne Walker, Rick Walker, Chris Walker, Renee Vance, Max Vance, Lisa Scarbrough, Jeff Scarbrough, Lori Wimberly, Bud Wimberly, Rhonda Burt, Mike Reid, Scott Carpenter, Lisa Carpenter, David Agnew, Michelle Agnew, John Agnew, Paula Agnew, Gayla Buchanan, Tim Buchanan, Susan Eaves, Rodney Eaves, Leia Hill and Adrian Hill; great-grandchildren, Emily Jo Walker, Randell Walker, Davey Walker, Jessica Walker, Luke Walker, Mallory Vance, Jacob Vance, Meagan Clearman, Ben Clearman, Justin Scarbrough, Richie Bailey, Heather Burt, Nicholas Reid, Jeremy Carpenter, Ryan Carpenter, Rachelle Agnew, C.J.Riley, Patrick Riley, Benjamin Agnew, Hannah Buchanan, Madelyn Buchanan, Noah Buchanan and Ariel Eaves; great-great-grandchildren, Kala Clearman, Conner Walker, Jackson Clearman, and Caroline Walker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Francis Breazeale and Samuel Luther Breazeale; her husband, John Thad Carpenter; a son, Terry Carpenter; grandsons, Rusty Carpenter and Steve Carpenter; great-great-granddaughter, Jamee Grace Scarbrough; sisters, Eula Adcock, Eunice Mays, and Bertha Breazeale; her brother, Weldon Breazeale and a sister-in-law, Hazel Carpenter.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Randy Walker, Rick Walker, Mike Reid, Scott Carpenter, David Agnew, and John Agnew III.
Honorary pallbearers will be her sons-in-law, Clyde Walker, Vern Reid, John Agnew II, brother-in-law, Arnold Carpenter and her neighbor, A.J. Wedgeworth.

Raymond Herbert Flint
Retired electrician

Services for Raymond Herbert Flint will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Allan W. Singletary officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Masonic graveside services.
Mr. Flint, 83, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at the Specialty Hospital of Meridian. He was born on Sept. 8, 1924, in New Durham,N.H. His parents were Jasper Flint of Keene, N.H., and Marion Parshley Smith of New Durham. He graduated from Spaulding High School in Rochester, N.H.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Forces and served during World War II with the Air-Sea Rescue Squadron, stationed at Keesler Field, in Mississippi, as a gunnery instructor on the B-17 Aircraft. He also served in the 153rd Tac Recon Squadron at Key Field.
He was a retired member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union No. 917 of Meridian. As a journeman electrician, he worked on many construction projects in several states, commercial, industrial and nuclear. He served on the IBEW Apprenticeship Examining Board for many years.
He was a faithful member of Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of Oakland Heights Masonic Lodge No. 577. He enjoyed the fellowship of The Ole Timers Coffee Club at Jean’s Restaurant.
He will be remembered as a lovingly devoted husband, father and papaw. He will be remembered as a friend to many and a true gentleman in every sense of the word.
Survivors include his wife of more than 62 years, Gertrude “Trudy” McMullen Flint; sons, Gary and his wife, Jane, Alan and his wife, Rita, all of Meridian, Scott and his wife, Vita, of Dacula, Ga.; grandchildren, Raymond Flint and his wife, Jennifer, of Hickory, Jeremy Flint and his wife, Jana, of Hoover, Ala., Matthew Flint, Alana Flint McRee and her husband, Adam, and Jon Flint, all of Meridian and Murray Flint of Dacula; great-grandchildren, Will Flint of Hoover and Brenah and Aubrey Flint of Hickory; brothers, Eddie Flint and his wife, Eunice, of Sea Girt, N.J.,, Murray and his wife, Gladys, of Sacramento,Calif.;sister-in-law, Christine Fowler of Laconia, N.H.; brother-in-law, Milton McMullen and his wife, Vickie, of Madison and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Frank Fowler of Laconia, N.H.and a sister-in-law, Georgia Flint of Sacramento.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Clara H. Robinson
Retired seamstress

Services for Clara H. Robinson will be held today at 2 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Curtis Guess officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Robinson, 88, of Meridian, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her children, Charlotte Donald, Janice Reynolds and her husband, Rick, Randy Robinson and his wife, Mary Jo and Maurice Robinson and his wife, Laura, all of Meridian and Linda Morgan and her husband, Ronnie, of Bailey; a sister, Odessa Dorman of Meridian; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Robinson.
Pallbearers will be Stevan Gardner, David Gardner, Billy Morgan, Jerry Morgan, Jay Grayson and Jeff McDonald.
Visitation will be today 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
Beth Adams Anderson

MACON — Services for Beth Adams Anderson will be held today at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Macon with the Rev. Stacy Douglas officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery. Cockrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Anderson, 89, of Macon, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at Noxubee County General Hospital in Macon.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Gray; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the church.

Onus Irvin Burton

PHILADELPHIA — Services for Onus Irvin Burton will be held today at 3 p.m. at Sandtown United Methodist Church in Neshoba County with the Revs. Richard B. Burks, Jeff Switzer and Michael Wells officiating. Burial will be in Sandtown Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Burton, 88, died Thursday, November 15, 2007 at Neshoba County Nursing Home.

S.T. Therel Nowell

PHILADELPHIA — Services for S. T. Therel Nowell will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Adcock officiating. Burial will be in Union City Cemetery in Union.
Mr. Nowell, 86, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, in Union.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jesse William Burt

QUITMAN — Services for Jesse William Burt will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Wright’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jerry Griffin and Glen McLeod officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery.
Mr. Burt, 76, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his daughters, Teresa Boothe and Diana Davey; one brother; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife.
Visitation will be today beginning at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sylvester Collins

Graveside services for Sylvester Collins will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Poplar Springs Cemetery in Savoy with the Rev. Bennie Hopkins officiating. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Collins, 65, of Battle Creek, Mich., died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, in Battle Creek.

Willie B. Thompson

Mr. Thompson, 60, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dr. Roshdy Habib

BUTLER, Ala. — Memorial services for Dr. Roshdy Habib will be held Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at Butler Presbyterian Church. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Dr. Habib, 84, of Butler, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Habib; sons, Paul Habib, Peter Habib and Thomas Habib and one grandson.
