Daniel Robbins
SANFORD, Fla. — Services for Daniel “Rock” Robbins will be held Thursday at 11a.m. at Brisson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Sylvan Lake Cemetery.
Mr. Robbins,54, of Deltona, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4th, 2007. He was born in Fauquier County, Va. and grew up in Sanford, Florida. He entered into the U.S. Navy in 1971. He worked for the Naval Air Station Meridian Fire Department in Meridian, Miss. and retired as a Battalion Chief. He also volunteered part time for the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Auxiliary in Meridian. Most recently, he worked as night time security officer at the Central Florida Zoo in Sanford. He also loved Bowling.
Survivors include his wife of 6 years, Wanda; son Chris Robbins and his wife, Karla, of Sanford; daughters, Tina Jackson and her husband,Buddy, of Enterprise, Miss., Melissa Simmons and her husband,John, of Fort Smith, Ark., Audrey Archie and her husband, Jason, of Meridian, Miss., and Stacey Burt and her husband, Casey, of Enterprise; brother David Robbins and his wife, Linda, of Sanford; sisters, Judygail Detrick and her husband, Joe, of Sanford, JoAnn Norris and her husband, Bobby, of DeBary, Sharon Davis and her husband, Mike, and Cheryl Fletter, all of Sanford; as well as 14 grandchildren.

Carolyn Myers Fulton

PHILADELPHIA — Services for Carolyn Myers Fulton will be held today at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Philadelphia with the Revs. Byrd Hillman and Fred Britton officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Fulton, 84, died Sunday, November 4, 2007 at Hospice In His Hands in Leake County. She was a native of the Deemer Community in Neshoba County. She was the retired owner and operator of Deemer Lumber Company from 1955-1970. She was a member of the Futura Club and Philadelphia Woman’s Club. Mrs. Fulton was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Philadelphia.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Fulton of Philadelphia; a daughter, Susan Barnett of Carthage; grandchildren, Brian Risher of Hernando and Julia Kelly of Carthage; great-grandchildren, Taylor Kelly, Mattie Kelly and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.D. (Bill) and Inez King Myers and one sister, Dorothy McWilliams.
Douglas H. Brantley
Retired
Services for Douglas H. Brantley will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dr. Ken Anderson and Dr. Rhett Payne III officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Brantley, 86, of Meridian, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at Montfort Jones Hospital in Kosciusko. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was former elder at Central Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard and served in World War II in Germany. He retired as a Master Sgt. He was also a Master Mason and a Shriner.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalyn Brantley of Meridian; a daughter, Donna Bunch of Collinsville; a brother, Frank Brantley and his wife, Pat, of Maggie Valley, N.C. and a sister, Juanita Anderson of Tupelo.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Brantley.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
Pallbearers will be Jason Niles, Johnny Roberson, Dwight Callens, Dwight Barham, Bill Johnson and David Jaqua.
Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Dianne Slayton Brewer
MORRILTON, Ark. — Services for Dianne Slayton Brewer will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Mullins officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Brewer, 58, of Morrilton, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007. She was born on May 4, 1949 in Meridian to William Aubrey Slayton and Jessie Mae Church Slayton. She was a waitress and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Johnny Brewer of Morrilton; a son, Kevin Brewer and his wife, Suzie, of Perryville; mother, Jessie Mae Slayton of Meridian, Miss.; brothers, Jerry Slayton, Billy Slayton and Buddy Slayton, all of Meridian; a sister, Marie Anderson of Mitchell, Ind. and grandchildren, Lauren Brewer and Natalie Brewer of Perryville.

Mrs. George, 84, of Meridian, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, in her home.

Graveside services for Buford E. “Ed” Miller will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Revs. Robert Higginbotham and Jerry Marlow officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Miller, 88, of Meridian, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at Zero House. He was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army Timberwolves Unit and served in World War II. He was a member of Northpark Church of God. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Lola Mae Miller of Meridian; a daughter, Barbara Ann Smith and her husband, Charles, of Lisman, Ala.,; a son, Perry W. Miller and his wife, Lynda G. of Meridian; grandchildren, Curtis Rutledge, Kay Pace and her husband, Perry, Dale Matthews and her husband, Buster,and Kellie Roberts; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice Taylor and Gwen Dearman, both of Meridian and brother Milton Miller of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Vera Miller; brothers, Crayton Miller, Billy Earl Miller, James Miller and Howard Eugene Miller and a grandson Richard, “Richie” Miller.

Mr. Strickler, 69, of Meridian, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was retired from the U.S. Government and was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his sister, Sally Strickler Sullivan and her husband, Garland, of Hattiesburg; a nephew, Garland W. Sullivan II of Memphis, Tenn. and a niece, Lynn Strickler Sullivan of Sea Grove Beach, Fla.; great-nephews, Garland W. Sullivan III and Charles Dudley Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maj. Dudley George Strickler and Celeste Broach Strickler.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

RAPID CITY, S.D. — Services will be held at a later date for Robert M. Kerlin, 63, Meridian, Miss., who died Sunday Nov. 4, 2007, at Rapid City Regional Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Pam Kerlin, Meridian; daughters, Kimberly Kerlin, Oakland, Calif.; Katherine Kerlin Nejedlo and her husband, Grant, Reno, Nev., and a brother, Bill Kerlin, Phoenix.

Grace Stokes Luttrell
PHILADELPHIA — Graveside services for Grace Stokes Luttrell were held Monday at 3 p.m. at Pine Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gary Felton officiating. Burial was in the Pine Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home of Newton in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Luttrell, 92, of Meridian, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian.
Survivors include: her daughter, Angel Lyons and her husband, Billy of Newton; her sister, Marie Rigdon of Hattiesburg; five grandchildren, two of which reside in Newton, Michaella “Mika” and Daniella.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Luttrell, and her parents, John Robert and Wessie Milling Stokes.
