Kyle Michael Locker



Services for Kyle Locker will be held on today at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. W. Jerry Holcomb and Dr. J. Truett Gannon officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Locker, age 30, of Meridian died Saturday, October 13, 2007. He was self-employed as the owner of Enhancing Spreads Lawn Service. Prior to that, he worked in Atlanta, for five years in telecommunication sales. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, son, brother and friend to many. He played on the West Lauderdale High School baseball team that won the Mississippi State Championship in 1994 and 1995. He also played on the East Mississippi Community College baseball team and attended The University of Mississippi. He was a talented musician, writer, artist and athlete. He loved playing his guitar and golf with friends.

Survivors include his wife Michelle Locker of Meridian, his mother Linda Locker of Meridian; his brother Greg Vignes of Meridian; his grandmother, Mary Sidebottom of Meridian; his mother and father-in-law Janis and Mike Holcomb of Lilburn, Ga.; his aunt and uncle Debra and Dennis Gordon of Meridian, his aunt and uncle Melodee and Larry Sidebottom of Littleton, Colo.; his cousins, Chad Thompson of Meridian, Mike Sidebottom of Memphis, Tenn., Pam Sidebottom of Houston, Texas, Kelsee Sidebottom of Littleton, Colo. and his beloved pets Jack, Lily, Sage and Sly.

He was preceded in death by his father Mike Locker and his grandfather Arthur Sidebottom.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Haarala, Jimmy Kugler, Ryan Rainer, Brian Slaton, Brian Smith and Chad Thompson.



James Windell Hawkins



Services for James Windell Hawkins will be held today at 2 p.m. at Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Meehan with the Rev. Ben Laird officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hawkins, 50, of Meehan, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at Riley Hospital. He was a graduate of Clarkdale High School. He was employed with McDonald and Hill for more than 30 years. He also worked at Queen City Nursing Center and was self-employed. He was a member and certified fire fighter with the Meehan Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father.

Survivors include his wife, Joann Hawkins of Meehan; a son, Adam Hawkins of Meehan; sisters, Debbie Smith and her husband, Melvin, of North Carolina and Mary Baxley and her husband, Gary, of Alabama and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, James “J.J.” Hawkins; parents, Joseph and Effie Hawkins and a brother, Joseph Hawkins.

Memorials may be made to the Meehan Volunteer Fire Department.

Pallbearers will be members of the Meehan Volunteer Fire Department.

Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the church.



Sarah Freshour



MACON — Services for Sarah Freshour will be held today at 2 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery in Macon.

Miss Freshour, 86, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at Noxubee County Nursing Home in Macon.

Survivors include her sisters, Audrey Oechsle and Jessie Gillis; brothers, Tommy Freshour, Bill Freshour and Pete Freshour and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.



William F. Farned



PHILADELPHIA — Services for William F. Farned will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Dan Howard officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Farned, 83, died Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the Neshoba County General Hospital. He was born on March 4, 1924, in Greenwood, to Jack and Effie Coats Farned. He lived and attended school in Hickory and married Katherine Majure, May 27, 1946.

Mr. Farned is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in World War II, aboard the USS North Carolina, then lived and worked in West Texas for 38 years, retiring to Philadelphia in 1986.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Philadelphia.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Farned of Philadelphia; daughters and their families, Pat Dunn and her husband, Walker, of Midland, Texas, Marty England and her husband, John, of Denton, Texas, and Kathy Hoelscher and her husband, Dennis, of St. Lawrence, Texas; grandchildren, Susan Dunn of Dallas, Aaron Dunn of Lubbock, Texas, Jason England of Las Colinas, Texas, and Sarah and Madeline Hoelscher of St. Lawrence; and one brother, Woodrow Farned of Flint, Texas.

Pallbearers will be John England, Jason England, Dennis Hoelscher, Billy Sharp, Rodis Shealy, and Wilmer Goforth.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Truthseekers Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.



Rena Dubose



Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Rena Dubose, 82, of Meridian, who died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at The Oaks Rehabilitation Center.



George Lewis



Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for George Lewis, 92, of Collinsville, who died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, in his home.



Stacy Fleming



Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Stacy Fleming, 35, of Quitman, who died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman.
