Steve R. Frazier
Services for Steve R. Frazier will be held today at 3 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Jackson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Frazier, 56, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at Heartfelt Hospice.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Frazier of Meridian; children, David Frazier and his wife, Michelle, Billy Frazier and his wife, Leann, Anthony Frazier, Tanya McMinn and her husband, Chris, Judy Frazier, Victor Morris Sr. and Shelly McClain and her husband, David; 17 grandchildren; brothers, Robert Frazier of Bailey, Jack Frazier of Dallas, Dennis Frazier of Ocean Springs and Paul Frazier of Stonewall.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Roberta May and Johnnie Dubuisson; a brother, Ronnie Frazier and his parents, Johnny and Martha Frazier.
George Andrew O’Berry
PHILADELPHIA — Services for George Andrew O’Berry will be held today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Craig Darrell officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mr. O’Berry, 79, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Anthony Leeland Weir
Services for Anthony Leeland Weir will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Boles officiating. Burial will be in Old Marion Cemetery in Russell.
Infant Weir, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his parents, Anthony Q. and Jackeline R. Weir of Meridian; a brother, Anthony Jackson Weir; grandparents, Paul and Paula Gilbert, Arnold “Toby” Weir, all of Meridian, Anibal and Aramedis Sanches, Sr. of David Chiriqui, Panama; great-grandmother, Bernice Weir of Savoy; aunts and uncles, Jimmy and Judi Rogers, Arnold “Rusty” and Tina Weir Jr., Pete and Toyyua Mazella, Paul and Lori Gilbert Jr., Anel Sanchez, Anibal Sanchez Jr., Carlos Sanchez and Anibal Sanchez III and several cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Harold Hamburg, Viva Mae Hamburg, J.D. Weir, J.W. Scott, Ruth Scott, Magdelena Consepcion, Rosa Sanchez, Diomedes Sanchez and Benancio Rios.
Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ms. Whittsey, 65, of DeKalb, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the funeral home in DeKalb.
Arnold Lackey

PHILADELPHIA — Services for Arnold Lackey will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lawrence Pool officiating. Burial will be in Sandtown Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mr. Lackey, 85, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Baptist Hospital Desoto in Southaven, MS. He was a native of the Sandtown Community in Neshoba County. He formerly resided in Flint, Mich., where he had worked for many years at General Motors before moving back to Neshoba County in 1983. Mr. Lackey attended Sandtown United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
Survivors include his daughters, Jeannie Sedge of Olive Branch, Myrtis Maddock of Grand Ledge, Mich. and Martha Mowdy of Southaven; his son, Jimmy Lackey of Philadelphia; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Lackey and two sons, Marion Lackey and Loyd Lackey.
Visitation will be held today, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Aubrey Louise Powers

Services for Aubrey Louise Powers will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald Gentry officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Powers, 87, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at Garden Park Hospital. She was a member of Eighth Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Denman A. Powers Jr. and his wife, Connie, of Gulfport; daughters, Sandra P. Davis and Virginia Seydel, both of Meridian and a sister, Mary Jean Harper of Ohio; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denman Arther Powers Sr.; her parents, Elmer Hamilton Cooper and Thetis Adeline Sinclare Cooper.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.- 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. York, 59, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in her home.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Steve; a son, Todd York; two sisters; one brother; seven grandchildren and several other relatives.
Visitation began Thursday in the family home.
Susan K. Bateman
PHILADELPHIA — Services for Susan K. Bateman will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Vowell officiating. Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mrs. Bateman, 77, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007 at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian in Meridian.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Chapman, 69, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in her home.
Survivors include her daughters, Melinda Gordon and Erika Chapman; her son, Ralston Chapman III; two sisters; one foster-brother;10 grandchildren and several other relatives.
Visitation will begin today at 4 p.m. at the family home in the Tucker Community.
Bessie Mae Kennedy Taylor

QUITMAN — Services for Bessie Mae Kennedy Taylor were held Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Wright’s Funeral Home Chapel. Seydler-Hill Funeral Home in Gonzales and Wright’s Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Taylor, 82, died Sunday, June 24, 2007. She was born to Benjamin Franklin and Mary Melinda McGrew Kennedy on Oct. 28, 1924 in Quitman. She married John Henry Taylor on Oct. 19, 1943 in Quitman, where they raised five children before moving to Texas and having five more children. In 1966, the family moved to Camden, Ala., where she worked as a seamstress in the sewing factory. In 1970 Mr. Taylor died and she moved her family to Montgomery, Ala. where she worked at Paragon Press and Cherry’s Bait and Produce. The family grew up and moved on leaving Mrs. Taylor in Wetumpka, Ala.,where she worked at National Industry on an assembly line.
Mrs. Taylor moved to Gonzales, in 1992 and lived there until her death. She will be remembered dearly and fondly as “Babe” to some, “Ma” to others and “Grandma” to the younger group of family and friends.
Survivors include her children, John Franklin Taylor and his wife, Edna, of Chico, Texas, J.C. Taylor and his wife, Barbara, of Brandon, Laura Diane Johnson and her husband, Jack, of Clanton, Ala., Mary Beth Mercer and her husband, Larry, of Gonzales, Richard Taylor and his fiancé, Debbie, of Pass Christian, Wayne Taylor and his wife, Dorothy, of Bridgeport, Texas, Rebecca Condel and her husband, Alvin, of Gonzales, Jane Stephens and her husband, Dale, of Heflin, Ala., and Carla Taylor of Dothan, Ala.; 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sisters, Virginia Arrington and her husband, Eugene, of Quitman and Vonice Crawford and her husband, Alston, of Moundville, Ala., a sister-in-law, Johnnie Kate Kennedy of Quitman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a step-mother, Callie Southern Kennedy; her husband; a daughter, Christine Taylor Herbert Tripp in 1998; a grandson, Jason Clark Stewart in 1979; brothers, Charles Matthew Kennedy in 1998 and John Robert Kennedy in 2006.
Pallbearers were Mark Stewart, Michael Mercer, Jason Condel, Bryan Condel, Chad Merchison and Carla Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, CR 132, Quitman, MS 39355 or the American Diabetes Association, Hospice of South Texas or a charity of choice.
