Norman Molpus



PHILADELPHIA — Services for Norman Molpus will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Britton officiating. Burial will be Cedarlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Molpus, 93, died Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at Neshoba County Nursing Home in Philadelphia.

He was born and raised in the Forestdale Community of Neshoba County but had made his home in Philadelphia most of his life. He was the retired owner/operator of Molpus Grocery Store in Philadelphia.

Mr. Molpus was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 138 and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his son, Dr. Bill Molpus of Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Mary Margaret Logan of Houston, Texas and Dr. Steven Molpus and his wife, Veronica, of Maumelle, Ark. and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Molpus.

Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.



Bryant Butler



Services for Bryant Butler will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at 31st Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. S.L. Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Union Kemper Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Clark’s Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Butler, 52, of Meridian, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at University of Alabama at Birmingham Medical Center.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.



Jimmie Gillespie

Retired lumber company employee



DEKALB — Services for Jimmie Gillespie will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Arrat Baptist Church in Scooba with the Rev. T.C. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. E.E. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Gillespie, 81, of Scooba, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian.

He is preceded in death by his wife and two children.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church.



Robbie Thomas



Services for Robbie Thomas will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall with the Revs. Jimmy Harrison and Jim Wall officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Thomas, 39, of California, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at Marina Del Ray, Calif. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and was a native of Meridian. He began his acting career at age 13 with the Meridian Little Theatre, He entertained and toured around the world. He had worked for several lines as well as numerous theme parks. He was employed with Stiletto Entertainment in Los Angeles.

Survivors include his parents, George and Glenda Thomas of Meridian; sisters, Tiffanie Roberts and her husband, Glen, and Elizabeth Thomas, all of Meridian; nieces, Cassie Thomas and Heather Roberts and special friends, Mary Alfa Donnely and Frank of Meridian.

Memorials may be made to dram or choir clubs of Meridian High School.

Pallbearers will be his cousins, Bob Brown, Bill Brown, and Jim Brown, Nickie Abdo, Larry Abdo, Mark Abdo, Burl Crocker, Jack Suddeth, David Syner, Cliff Brown, Justin Ballard and Wesley Ballard.

Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.



Catherine Ann Sellers Traylor

Retired



WICHITA FALLS, Texas — There will be a private graveside service for Catherine Ann Sellers Traylor and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Owens and Brumley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Traylor, 68, of Saint Jo, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was born Nov. 19, 1938, to Horace Fulton and Virginia Adair Brown Sellers, now deceased, of Meridian. She married James Bruce Traylor, deceased, of Meridian. They were married 29 years. His career in the oil services arena took them to Odessa, Texas, Tehran, Iran, Singapore and to live in Ann‚s favorite place, Aberdeen, Scotland, where they lived for ten years. She settled in Denton, Texas for nine years where her two oldest children were attending the University of North Texas. Her youngest daughter attended Selwyn School. She decided to go back to college and get a degree in Special Education and enrolled in North Texas, also. Teaching was one of her passions. She taught kindergarten for many years mainly in the Forestburg I.S.D. After her retirement she enjoyed substituting at Sacred Heart in Muenster, Texas where her oldest daughter taught science. She made Saint Jo her home twelve years ago to be nearer to her daughter and her work.

Her passions were many especially her three grandchildren. She had a verocious appetite for reading, sometimes a book a day. Other passions that defined her were working the New York Times crossword puzzles each day, Bible Study, knitting, sewing, e-mailing, gardening, and her loving dog, Co Co. She was a member of the newly created Friendship Church in Saint Jo.

Survivors include her three children, James Bruce “Jim” Traylor, Jr. and his wife, Debbie, of Bull Shoals, Ark.; Angela Traylor Smith and Ben Walker of Wichita Falls; and Leigh Ann Traylor Kenney and her husband, Scott Kenney of Victoria, Texas; and three grandchildren, Collin, Dillon, and Miranda Kenney; her only sister, Peggie Sellers Rayzor of Fort Worth, Texas, and two nieces, Selwyn Rayzor and her husband, Richard N. Moses and Sallie Rayzor and Stuart Cochran, all from Dallas and many cousins and others in Meridian, Miss.

Timothy Jefferson



Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Timothy Jefferson, 52, of Pachuta, who died Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, in Pachuta.
