Perry E. Thomas
Services for Perry E. Thomas will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home in Butler, Ala., with the Rev. J.D. Weed officiating. Burial will be in Butler City Cemetery with Bumpers Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Thomas, 82, of Butler, died Saturday, September 15, 2007 at his residence.
He was a retired veteran for the Army where he was stationed in Korea and a retired welder.
Survivors include his wife, Syble W. Thomas, a son, Mike Thomas, two daughters, Nancy Guin, and Carole Dixon, a brother, Horace Thomas, a sister, Marjorie Jane Parker, six grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the 1st Baptist Church of Butler.
The family will receive friends at anytime at the family home located at 110 Colonial Drive in Butler.
Evelyn B. Scarbrough
Services for Evelyn B. Scarbrough will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Derick Simmons and Rev. Mike Boles officiating. Burial will be in Coker’s Chapel Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Scarbrough, 77, of Meridian, died Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
She was employed as a homemaker.
Survivors include her children, Roger D. Scarbrough, Sylvia Renae Graham, & husband Randall, Charles Shawn Scarbrough, grandchildren, Roger Scarbrough Jr., Hunter Graham, Lindsey Marie Graham, great granddaughter, Jewel Shyann Scarbrough, five brothers, William Evan Briggs, Jr. & wife Maxine, Raybon Briggs, & wife Joyce, Glenice Briggs, & wife Dot, Gail Briggs, & wife Linda, one sister, Sylvia Sanders, a niece, Debbie Holyfield, & husband Dale, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie F. Scarbrough, and her parents, William Evan Briggs, Sr., & Lela.
The family requests that memorials be made to United Blood services,
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be, Larry Briggs, Kendall Briggs, Tony Briggs, John Culpepper, Lance Holyfield, Lane Holyfield, and Dale Holyfield.
Nadine Stoves Linton
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home in Meridian.
Mrs. Linton, 86, of Meridian died Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Queen City Nursing Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Ann Hodges, & her husband, James, a son, Rufus L. (Sonny) Warren III, & his wife, Jan, six grandchildren, Debra Ann Hodge, Donna Michele Johnson, Natalie Elaine Bunn, James Kevin Warren, Elizabeth Suzanne Adkins, Leigh Ann Favalora, nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Carolyn S. Colvin
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Carolyn S. Colvin, 68, of Bailey, who died Sunday, September 16, 2007 at her residence.
Kate Alawine
Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Kate Alawine, 93, of Collinsville, who died Saturday September 15, 2007 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
