Julia Eleze Walker



Services for Julia Eleze Walker will be held today at 3 p.m. at Collinsville First Baptist Church with the Revs. Hal Bates, David Sellers and Chris Cooksey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Walker, 97, of Collinsville, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007 in her home. She was a charter member of Collinsville First Baptist Church. Her hobbies included her flowers.

Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Miller of Meridian; a son-in-law, J.P. Dean of Stonewall; granddaughters, Linda Mena and her husband, Olgene, of Stonewall, Tammy White and her husband, Shannon, of Collinsville and Terri Stewart and her husband, Mark, of Petal; great-grandchildren, Lauren Agent of Collinsville, Presley White of Petal and Jonathan Mena of Stonewall and a sister, Mable Moran of Taylorsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Carrie Harwell; her husband, Ray Walker, an infant son; a daughter, Doris Dean; great-grandchildren, Deanna Mena, and Miller White; brothers, J.D. Jones, Bill Harwell, Shorty Harwell, Dick Harwell and George Harwell and a son-in-law,Gary Miller.

Pallbearers will be Leslie Harwell, Larry Harwell, Jerry Harwell, Tommy Moran, Jerry Walker, and Shannon White. Honorary pallbearer will be Darrel Harvey.

Visitation will be today from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.



Charles McMullan III



Services for Charles “Jake” McMullan III will be held today at 11 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church with the Rev. Marvin Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McMullan, 27, of Meridian, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, in his home.

Survivors include his mother, Carol McMullan; father, Charles “Sonny” McMullan Jr. and his girlfriend, Leanne Simon, all of Meridian; sons, Dalton McMullan, Hunter McMullan and Braxton McMullan and a daughter, Haley McMullan; brothers, Jason McMullan of Whynot and Justin McMullan of Meridian; maternal grandmother, Edna Reynolds of Whynot; paternal grandparents, Charles and Dot McMullan of Meridian; aunts, Pam Wagner and her husband, Ronnie, of Lauderdale and Wanda Litchfield of Meridian; an uncle, Jimmy McMullan of Meridian.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willie Dan Reynolds.

Pallbearers will be Todd Russell, Michael Scott, Chad Riley, Mark Conner, Chris Summerford, Lance Miles and Chris Miller.

Visitation will be today 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.



Brandon Jones



Graveside services for Brandon “Red” Jones will be held today at 2 p.m. at Graham Cemetery with the Rev. James A. Rickles officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jones, 21, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, in Meridian.

Survivors include his mother, Tina Jones; father, Jeffrey Wayne Jones Jr.; brothers, Lee Jones and Jonathan Jones; his grandmother, Irene Lenoir; grandfather, Nathan Hill and great-grandmother, Pauline Williamson, and one nephew, Mason Jones, all of Meridian.
