Jesse K. Hagameyer Jr.



DALLAS — Memorial services for Jesse K. Hagemeyer Jr. will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Sparkman/Dickey Funeral Home.

Mr. Hagemeyer, died September 10, 2007, in Plano. He was born Jan. 1, 1944, in Meridian, Miss. He was the youngest of three children of Juanita and Jesse Hagemeyer.

He graduated from UTA in 1973 and received his MBA from UD in 1982. A gifted guitar player who learned to play by ear, he loved ballroom dancing and riding his Harley. He was a Toastmaster for many years. His love of life and joy of helping others was his greatest gift.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Beverly; his children, Cindy McGary and husband her husband, Michael, of The Colony, Tina Schraeder and her husband, Darren, of Carrollton, and Mindy Ratcliff and her husband, John, of Temple, nine grandchildren; a brother Jack Hagemeyer and his wife, Mary Louise, of Fort Worth, and his extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Juanita Bolton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15186, Austin, Texas 75761.



Claire Van Devender Brown



LAUREL — A memorial service for Claire Van Devender Brown will be held today at 2 p.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown, 51, of Laurel, died Thursday, September 6, 2007, at University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital in Birmingham. She was a graduate of R.H. Watkins High School.

Survivors include her parents, Ruth Gough Patrick of Laurel, Robert Van Devender and his wife Coreen, of Union; a son, Patrick Hardy Brown of Laurel; a sister, Terry Van Devender Stephenson, of Laurel; half - sisters, Tara Van Devender Scheyer and her husband, Kevin, and their son Felix, of

Augusta, Ga., Jeana Van Devender, of Union, and Karen Van Devender Goodwin and husband, Michael, of Irving, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Joseph Price, her first

husband, George Madison “Sonny” Price III, and her second husband,

Hardy O’Keefe Brown, grandparents Benton and Bessie Gough, and Roger and Ethel Van Devender, of Meridian.

Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.



Nita Clark Cotton

Retired



MACON — Services for Nita Clark Cotton will be held today at 2 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Russell officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery near Macon.

Mrs. Cotton, 96, of Macon, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian. She was born in Scooba and lived most of her life in Macon. She was a graduate of Salem High School. She worked as a bookkeeper and clerk at Charlie’s Grocery Store in Macon most of her life. She and her husband, farmed cattle as well. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Macon and was a member of the Ageless Wonders. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Survivors include her daughter, Opal Barnett and her husband, Jesse, of Meridian; a sister, Jewel Bunch of Houston, Texas; grandsons, Mike Barnett of Meridian and Paul Barnett and his wife, Jonee, of Sugarland, Texas; great-grandchildren, Erica Barnett, Michael Barnett, Tyler Barnett and Ben Barnett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stinson Cotton; a son, Sammy Cotton; parents, Ollie and Edna Neel Clark; sisters, Alliene Limbaugh, Maggie Lois Clark and brothers, Elisha Clark, Nick Clark, John Clark and Ransom Clark.

Memorials may be made to Salem Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Rhee Outz, 10583 Highway 14, Macon, MS 39341.

Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.



Beulah Jimerson

Retired



BUTLER, Ala. — Services for Beulah Jimerson will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dennis Kennedy and Clyde Dykes officiating. Burial will be in Lusk Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Jimerson, 83, of Gilbertown, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Miss. She was retired from the packing department of Vanity Fair.

Survivors include her sons, James Clyde Jimerson and his wife, Pat, Carlos Jimerson and his wife, Sandra, and Clarence Jimerson and his wife, Debbie, all of Gilbertown; brothers, William N. Mosley and his wife, Helen, and J.C. Mosley and his wife, Brenda, all of Saraland, T.L. Mosley and his wife, Faye, L.V. Mosley and his wife, Vangie, John Thomas Mosley and his wife, Bobbie, all of Gilbertown, Medford Mosley and his wife, Elene, of Mobile; sisters, Sally Skelton of Butler, Eunice Kelley and her husband, J.T., and Gladys Nordan and her husband, Charles, all of Gilbertown; grandchildren, Jason Jimerson and his wife, Leanna, Ashley Jimerson, Adam Jimerson and his wife, Amy, Jennifer Sims and her husband, Timmy, Erick Jimerson, Chris Jimerson and his special friend, Emily and Gary Lee and his wife, Jessica; great-grandchildren, Ian Jimerson, Ella Jimerson, Matilyn Lee, Tristan Sims and Gabriel Sims.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Jimerson and parents, Thomas and Doshie Mosley.

Visitation will be held today from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.



Bonnie Jean Stidmon Spates

Retail employee



Services for Bonnie Jean Stidmon Spates will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Sunny Mount Giles Baptist Church in Scooba with the Rev. M.C. Thompson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. E.E. McDonald Community Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Spates, 43, of Meridian, formerly of Scooba, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at Rush Foundation Hospital.

Survivors include her daughter, LaBreisha L. Stidmon of Meridian; six sisters; three brothers, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Visitation will be Saturday from 7 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the E.E. McDonald Community Chapel in Meridian.



Doris Irene Shoemaker Neal



Memorial services for Doris Irene Shoemaker Neal will be held at a later date. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Neal, 60, of Meridian, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was a Baptist by faith. She will be remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother and best friend to her daughters. She loved all animals and was willing to help them any way possible.

Survivors include her friend, Louis Leon Shoemaker of Meridian; daughters, Tammy Snell and her husband, David, of Gardendale, Ala., Laurie Ann Manns of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Sherri Kaye Ferris of Meridian; grandchildren, Andrew Ferris, Elizabeth Manns, Joe Manns, Tracey Brasher, Lauren Manns, Tipper Manns, Jamie Leigh Entrekin, A.J. Snell, Matt Snell and River Snell; great-grandchildren, Skylar McKinley Erwin, Hunter Knight and Emily Knight and her beloved “babies” Katie and Molly.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jima Irene Neal and a sister, Debbie Lynn Owen.

Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.

Arrangements were incomplete at Clark’s Memorial Funeral Home for Gus W. Stifflemire, 55, of Marion, who died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, at Riley Hospital.

Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Brandon Jones, 21, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2007, in Meridian.
