Birda Smith McDaniel

PHILADELPHIA — Services for Birda Smith McDaniel will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Jackie Strebeck and Phillip Gandy officiating. Burial will be in Herbert Cemetery in Neshoba County.

Mrs. McDaniel, 90, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at Neshoba County Nursing Home in Philadelphia. She was born and reared in the Chisolm College Community of Neshoba County, where she made her home all of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Herbert Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby McDaniel and his wife, Carlotta, and Clifford McDaniel and his wife, Karen, all of Philadelphia; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence B. Smith of Greenville, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph McDaniel, and a daughter, Margie McDaniel.

Pallbearers will be Allen McDaniel, Jarred McDaniel, Jonathan McDaniel, Eric McDaniel, Grant McDaniel, Scotty McDaniel, Daniel Webb and Nathan Johnson.



Martha J. Keely

Office Assistant



Services for Martha J. Keely will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Pine Hill Baptist Church, with the Revs. Danny Bullock and Phillip Dearman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Keely, 65, of Enterprise, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Mark Keely and his wife, Melonee, of Enterprise; two daughters, Karen Keely of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Sharon Keely of High Point, N.C.; two brothers, Kenneth Murry and his wife, Marsha, and Larry Murry and his wife, Wanda, all of Enterprise; a sister, Louise Hicks and her husband, Joe, of Birmingham, Ala.; two grandchildren, Landon and Millaree Keely; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Murry and Eleanor Kirt Murry.

Visitation will be today, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.



Elwin Jones Blizard

Retired Business Woman



Services for Elwin Jones Blizard will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Blizard, 86, of Meridian, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007. She was a retired business woman. Mrs. Blizard was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and various clubs.

Survivors include Albert Ray Keller Sr. and his wife, Kaye, of LaPlace, La.; a daughter, Ouida Ridinger of Meridian; two step-sons, Thomas B. Blizard Jr. and his wife, Margaret, of Charletson, S.C., and Raymond Gene Blizard and his wife, Dixie, Mechanicsville, Va.; six grandchildren, Albert Ray Keller Jr., Michael David Keller and his wife, Pam, Barry Keller and his wife, Toni, Timothy Keller and his wife, Melanie, Kara Keller and Tony Ridinger; six stepgrandchildren, Dawn, Tamara, Benjamin III, Heather, Michael and Debbie; five great-grandchildren, Ryan Keller, Blake Keller, Bliss Keller, Colton Keller and Carmen Keller; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Victoria, Renee and Ashley; a sister, Evola Allen and her husband, Howard, of Madison, Tenn.; a brother, Larry Neal; her stepmother, Adell Jones of Hattiesburg; and numerous nieces, nephews and foster children.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Thomas B. “Tommy” Blizard.

The family requests memorials be made to Fellowship Baptist Church or The Alzheimer’s Association.

Visitation will be held today, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Blizard’s grandchildren.



Andrew David Roberts Jr.

Retired, Owner of York Saw Company



YORK, Ala. — Services for Andrew David Roberts Jr. will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Drew Drockery and Tim Craddock officiating. Burial will be in York City Cemetery.

Mr. Roberts, 86, of York, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at Sumter County Nursing Home. He was a veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia Grafton Roberts of York; a son, Andy Doyle Roberts and his wife, Messila, of Perry, Fla.; a stepson, Thad Grafton and his wife, Charlie, of Griffin, Ga.; a brother, Veron Roberts and his wife, Mildred; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 1 p.m.-2 p.m., at the funeral home.



Mary Louise Cheatham



PHILADELPHIA — Services for Mary Louise Cheatham will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Fred Britton officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Cheatham, 80, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2007, at her residence.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 5 p.m.-8 p.m., at the funeral home.



Quincy Watkins



Arrangements are incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Quincy Watkins, 79, of Meridian, who died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007.
