Patrick Kevin Pittman

QUITMAN — Services for Patrick Kevin Pittman will be held today at 11 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with the Revs. Roger Ivey and Buddy Petty officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Wright’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Pittman, 28, of Enterprise, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, in Pascagoula.

Survivors include his wife, Tamara Pittman of Enterprise; sons, Patrick Tyler Pittman, Kaden Blaine Pittman and Payton Lee Pittman; a daughter, Lexus Grace Pittman, all of Enterprise; his father, Marion Pittman Jr. and his wife, Brenda Ancouin, of Enterprise; his mother, Alene Simpson and her husband, Gene, of Enterprise; a brother, Brook Simpson of Clarkdale; sisters, Sandra Lynn Kidd of Enterprise and Danielle Ford of Quitman; maternal grandfather, Clyde Little of Entperprise and paternal grandmother, Geraldine Pittman, of Stonewall.

Pallbearers will be David Stearns, Les Ethridge, Jimmy Kirkman, Patrick Busby, Jason Davis and Troy Staniscavage.

Honorary pallbearer will be Patrick Tyler Pittman.

Visitation will be today one hour prior to the service at the church.



Carl E. Sanderford Jr.

Retired



Services for Carl E. “Sonny” Sanderford Jr. will be held today at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Sally Fran Ross, Mike Boles and Kenneth Owen officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Sanderford, 74, of Meridian, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2007, at Heartfelt Hospice. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War. He was a member of College Park United Methodist Church. He and his father ran the Carl Sanderford and Son Service Station on the corner of 8th Street and 24th Avenue.

Survivors include his son, Todd Sanderford of Meridian; a daughter, Carla Sanderford of Collinsville; grandchildren, Caitlin Sanderford of Pensacola, Fla. and Phillip Culpepper, of Meridian; a sister, Ruth Arledge and her husband, Pete, of Meridian; a nephew, Tony Arledge of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a niece, Tina Nelson of Tuscaloosa; a sister-in-law, Patricia Smith and her husband, Ed, of Suqualena and several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sanderford; a son, Sandy Sanderford III; his father, Carl E. Sanderford Sr. and his wife, Maude; his mother, Iva McCrory and her husband, Mack.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Culpepper, Rusty Culpepper, Dusty Culpepper, Kim Culpepper, Ed Smith and David Haggard.

Visitation will be today beginning at noon until service time at the funeral home.



Graple Doris Pittman

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Services for Graple Doris Pittman will be held today at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home East. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery East.

Mrs. Pittman, 82, formerly of DeKalb, Miss., died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, in DeKalb. She was a member of DeKalb Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of almost 63 years, Albert J. Pittman Jr.; children, Jim Pittman and his wife, Carol Ann of DeKalb, Jack Pittman and his wife, Judy Bowers of Memphis; siblings, Annie Brown and Frank Richerson, both of Memphis, Ruth Martindale, Hermon Richerson and Mossie Richerson Jr., all of Walnut, Miss and Bill Richerson of Jonesboro, Ark.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.



Imelda B. Null

Retired educator



Services for Imelda B. Null will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Temple officiating.

Mrs. Null, 87, of The Orchard in Ridgeland, formerly of Meridian, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at Rankin Medical Center in Brandon. She was a retired school teacher and principal. She received her bachelor’s and masters’ degree from Mississippi Southern College (University of Southern Mississippi). She was the daughter of the late George and Elvie Beeman of Meridian. She was a faithful Christian and member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church. She will be remembered as one who loved collecting Christmas ornaments and decorating for the holidays.

Survivors include her daughter, Dennie McIntosh and her husband, Ken, of Ridgeland; grandchildren, Michael McDonald, Stephanie Pierce, Randy McIntosh and Steven McIntosh; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wilburn Null and a daughter, Linda McDonald.

Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers’ Foundation, Mississippi Chapter, 1900 Dan Barton Drive, Suite H, Jackson, MS 39216.



Zelma Valentine Lawson

QUITMAN — Services for Zelma Valentine Lawson will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Wright’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dr. John Temple and James Williams officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in Enterprise.

Mrs. Lawson, 95, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at Riley Hospital. She will be remembered as one who loved the Lord, loved her family and loved life. Her family and friends grieves her death but they all rejoice at her going home.

Survivors include her daughter, Sonni Braswell and her husband, Doc, of Meridian; sons, Jerry Lawson and his wife, Ann, of Baton Rouge, La., Guy Lawson of Palm Springs, Calif. and Ronnie Lawson and his wife, Cindy, of Waynesboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl S. Lawson; a son, Earnest Lawson; four sisters; two brothers; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the final surviving sibling of her family.

Memorials may be made to Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church Missions Fund or a charity of choice.

Pallbearers will be Trent Lawson, Shelton Lawson, Josh Lawson, Chip Lawson, Jerry Maxcy and Jimmy Dale Lawson.

PASCAGOULA — Services for Joyce Carol Hayes Clark were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Gautier with the Rev. David Aultman officiating. Burial was in the Pinecrest Cemetery in Gautier. O’Bryant O’Keefe Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Clark, 77, of Gautier, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, in Ocean Springs Hospital.

Survivors include her sons, Dwight Clark and Lowell Clark; a daughter, Rhonda Clark; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Don Hayes of Meridian and several other relatives and friends.
