Bond denied pair in Vicksburg shooting

VICKSBURG, Miss. — Bond has been denied two men charged in the shooting death of a Vicksburg man.

The Vicksburg Post reports that Tamares "Binky" Dillon and Christopher Glen Polk appeared Tuesday before Warren County Court Judge Johnny Price.

Each man is charged with murder in the weekend shooting death of Mardy Eugene Blackmore at Vanguard Apartments.

Police say Blackmore's body was discovered outside the apartments at 6:41 a.m. Sunday.

Lt. Sandra Williams testified that Blackmore's fiancée told investigators that Blackmore left for Polk's apartment carrying three beers at 9:30 p.m. Saturday and never returned.

Williams says neighbors told officers that they heard gunshots about 10:30 p.m.

Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey says Blackmore died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
