PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) — On Sept. 3, the new 35-gallon rolling recycling carts will make their debuts at the homes of residents in the unincorporated areas of Jackson County.
The carts feature a sturdy handle and lid with clear information about what should be placed inside.
The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/14X7TvU ) the delivery schedule for the new carts will coincide with regular garbage collection days.
The current 18-gallon recycling bins will be exchanged as the larger rolling carts are delivered. The old bins will be picked up. Therefore, residents should continue placing their bins out each week until the exchange occurs.
It is expected to take about a month to get the carts out to all 26,000 households.
