2 shot after making bank deposit

WAYNESBORO —

WAYNESBORO, Miss. (AP) — Authorities in Wayne County say two restaurant employees were shot after dropping off a deposit at a First State Bank office.

Investigators tell WDAM-TV (http://bit.ly/1n4QHZQ ) an unidentified suspect Monday night fired into a vehicle carrying two female employees of a Wendy's restaurant. Investigators say one of the women was shot in the head and the other in the back.

The victims, whose names were not released, managed to drive to a local hospital and were later released after treatment.

Sheriff's deputies continue to investigate.
