Man sentenced to 35 years in girlfriend's death

GREENVILLE, Miss. —

A Washington County man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison in the death of his girlfriend.
 
District Attorney Dewayne Richardson tells The Delta Democrat Times that Timothy Frazier was sentenced after pleading guilty Monday to breaking into his girlfriend's home and killing her in April 2012.
 
He was indicted by the September 2012 grand jury for the strangulation death of Jannie Franklin.
 
Circuit Court Judge Ashley Hines handed down the sentence.
